> The Claude maker's S-1 does not yet set a share count or price. The Financial Times says investors expect a $1.5 trillion to $1.75 trillion valuation.

**Anthropic**, the American company behind the Claude AI models, filed for a stock market listing on Monday 26 October 2026. Its registration statement on **Form S-1** with the US Securities and Exchange Commission covers an initial public offering of Class A shares on the **Nasdaq Global Select Market** under the ticker **"ANT"**, the company said in [its own announcement](https://www.anthropic.com/news/s1-sec). The number of shares and the price range have not been set yet.

[CBS News reported](https://www.cbsnews.com/news/anthropic-ipo-plans-ai-safety/) that the listing could happen as early as November and could put Anthropic straight among the world's largest listed companies. Its rival OpenAI filed confidentially just over a week after Anthropic's June filing.

## The valuation talk

No valuation is in the filing yet. [CoinDesk reported](https://www.coindesk.com/business/2026/10/26/ai-giant-anthropic-files-for-blockbuster-ipo) that investors, according to the Financial Times, expect a value of **$1.5 trillion to $1.75 trillion**, and that pricing is aimed at mid-November. Analysts at Lightshed, quoted by CBS, put the range of outcomes bluntly: Anthropic "could become the most valuable company in the world. It could also end up in bankruptcy."

Chip stocks rose before the US open on the news, CoinDesk said: Nvidia was up 1.4%, Broadcom 1.5% and Micron 2.3%.

## Can investors in Pakistan buy it?

Not through the Pakistan Stock Exchange. Pakistanis who want US shares need a foreign brokerage account, and sending money abroad for investment is limited by State Bank foreign exchange rules, so check with your bank first. In rupees, a $1.5 trillion valuation is roughly Rs 415 trillion at today's rate; see the [dollar rate page](/data/usd-pkr) or the [currency converter](/tools/finance/currency-converter).

## Why it matters

The listing would be one of the biggest ever and a test of how much public investors will pay for AI companies that spend heavily on chips and data centres. Earlier this month Anthropic set aside 5% of its shares in a public benefit fund; see our [earlier report](/news/ai/anthropic-puts-5percent-of-its-shares-in-a-public-benefit-fund-2percent-more-per).
