> Pakistan and India share Group A, with a second meeting pencilled in for 7 November. Every Pakistan date and venue, the new Super 7 format, ticket prices in rupees and what PKT means for start times.

**Pakistan play India on Sunday 10 October 2027 in Johannesburg**, the ICC confirmed on 1 October 2026 when it published the full **Cricket World Cup 2027 schedule**. Pakistan, India, Australia, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and a qualifier share Group A, so the two rivals are guaranteed at least one meeting, and the pre-seeded Super 7 draw pencils in a second on 7 November in Cape Town.

The tournament runs from **2 October to 21 November 2027** across South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Start times have not been announced yet. All three host countries are on UTC+2, so **Pakistan time is three hours ahead of local time**: a 10:30am start in Johannesburg is 1:30pm PKT, and a 1:30pm start is 4:30pm PKT. We will add exact PKT start times here as soon as the ICC releases them.

## Pakistan's World Cup 2027 schedule (group stage)

| Date | Match | Venue |
|---|---|---|
| Friday 8 October 2027 | Pakistan vs Afghanistan | Tshwane |
| Sunday 10 October 2027 | **India vs Pakistan** | Johannesburg |
| Friday 15 October 2027 | Pakistan vs Qualifier A | Bloemfontein |

The group stage opens on 7 October with India against Australia in Cape Town, a repeat of the 2023 final. Group A ends on 24 October with Zimbabwe against India at the new Victoria Falls ground.

## The new format, in plain terms

- **14 teams.** South Africa and Zimbabwe qualified as hosts, plus the top eight on the ICC ODI rankings at the 30 September 2026 cut-off. Four more come through the Cricket World Cup Qualifier.
- **Super Series (2 to 6 October, Windhoek):** three qualifiers play each other once; the winner takes the last group-stage place.
- **Two groups of six.** The top three in each group, plus the better of the two fourth-placed teams, go through to the **Super 7**.
- **Super 7 (25 October to 14 November):** no points carry over, and each team plays six more matches.
- **Semi-finals:** 17 November (Cape Town) and 18 November (Tshwane), both with a reserve day. **Final:** 21 November in Johannesburg, reserve day 22 November.

## Pakistan's Super 7 path if they finish third in Group A

The ICC has pre-seeded teams into Super 7 slots so fans can plan travel. Pakistan are **A3**. If Pakistan qualify, these are their fixtures; if a seeded team misses out, the team that replaces it takes its slot.

| Saturday 30 October 2027 | Pakistan vs England | Victoria Falls |
| Wednesday 3 November 2027 | South Africa vs Pakistan | Durban |
| Sunday 7 November 2027 | **India vs Pakistan** | Cape Town |
