## How Phillips turned it

Phillips walked in at 34 for 2 in the third over and was still there at the end. He hit **10 sixes**, including four in a row off Nitish Kumar Reddy in the 16th over, and New Zealand took **85 runs from the last five overs**. It was his third T20I hundred.

The game was in the balance at 112 for 4 in the 11th over when Bevon Jacobs fell. **Michael Bracewell** then made 65 from 25 balls with six sixes, and the pair added **115 in 40 balls** before Bracewell was out in the 18th over at 227 for 5.

## India's chase never started

Needing 13 an over, India lost **Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan in the first over**, both to **Jacob Duffy**. Captain **Mitchell Santner** took two in the ninth over, his 150th and 151st T20I wickets, and Duffy struck twice in two balls in the 12th to leave India 121 for 8. Duffy finished with 4 for 23.

India had won the toss for the fourth match running and bowled again, with Kishan and fast bowler Mayank Yadav brought in for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. New Zealand had swapped Kyle Jamieson for Nathan Smith. Four days earlier in Wellington, New Zealand had conceded 178 in the first 10 overs; this time their bowlers read the pitch far better.
