## Pak vs SL 2nd T20I: team news and likely XIs

Farhan said after the first game that he was very pleased with the performance, so an unchanged Pakistan side would be no surprise, [ESPNcricinfo reported](https://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/story/1557869.html) in its preview. The Rawalpindi pitch had extra grass and helped the seamers, which is why Pakistan played three of them, and a fresh strip on Sunday is expected to behave the same way.

**Pakistan (likely):** Sahibzada Farhan (capt), Fakhar Zaman, Maaz Sadaqat, Hasan Nawaz, Saim Ayub, Khawaja Nafay (wk), Shadab Khan, Mohammad Imran, Razaullah, Naseem Shah, Abrar Ahmed.

**Sri Lanka (likely):** Lahiru Udara, Kusal Mendis (capt, wk), Sineth Jayawardena, Kamindu Mendis, Kamil Mishara, Sahan Arachchige, Dasun Shanaka, Dunith Wellalage, Dushmantha Chameera, Maheesh Theekshana, Eshan Malinga. ESPNcricinfo expects Sri Lanka to add batting depth by bringing in Jayawardena for Nuwan Thushara, who went for 32 in three overs on Friday.

## Numbers to know

- Pakistan conceded **29 extras** on Friday, the most they have ever given away in a T20I.
- No team has beaten Pakistan **five times** in T20Is in Pakistan. Sri Lanka have done it four times and can become the first.
- **Kusal Mendis** needs **90 runs** to pass the injured Pathum Nissanka as Sri Lanka's leading T20I run-scorer.
- Sri Lanka's last five completed T20Is read L W L L L, after three heavy defeats in England last month; Pakistan's read W L W W L.
