> The PCB has shifted its first-class games out of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after the emergency. The new venues, the fixtures and the revised date for the final round.

**The PCB has moved President's Trophy Grade I matches out of Peshawar and Abbottabad**, ESPNcricinfo reported on Monday 12 October 2026, after the federal government declared an emergency and imposed governor's rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The two games that were due at Peshawar's Imran Khan Stadium and the Abbottabad Cricket Stadium will now begin on **Wednesday 14 October** in Punjab.

## President's Trophy: the new venues

| Match | Was at | Now at | Starts |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Ghani vs Hyderabad Kingsmen Academy | Peshawar or Abbottabad | Rana Naveed Academy, Sheikhupura | 14 October |
| SNGPL vs OGDCL | Peshawar or Abbottabad | LCCA Ground, Lahore (next to Gaddafi Stadium) | 14 October |

The sixth-round matches in Islamabad and Rawalpindi go ahead as planned, starting today. This is the penultimate round of the league stage.

## Final league round pushed back a day

The last round now starts on **Monday 19 October**, a day later than planned. ESPNcricinfo reported that:

- **LCCA Ground, Lahore** will host Markhor IT Solutions vs Pakistan TV.
- **National Cricket Ground, Islamabad** will host Hyderabad Kingsmen Academy vs State Bank of Pakistan. The Diamond Club ground is the other Islamabad venue in use.

The eight teams play each other once in a round-robin, and the top two meet in the final. The final's venue has not been confirmed.

## Why it matters for Peshawar

Peshawar's Imran Khan Stadium returned to senior men's domestic cricket only last season, after a gap of almost seven years, hosting nine Quaid-e-Azam Trophy matches after a long renovation. The PCB has been keen to bring top-flight cricket back there, and Peshawar was given its first PSL match this year. Abbottabad has been a regular first-class venue.

The emergency covers 12 districts of KP, mostly in the south and the merged districts; JUI-F chief [Fazlur Rehman has rejected it](/news/politics/fazl-rejects-kp-emergency-word-for-word-says-govt-asked-him-to-mediate-with-pti). For the international side, Pakistan lead Sri Lanka 2-0 in the T20I series after [Maaz Sadaqat's 96 in Rawalpindi](/news/cricket/pak-vs-sl-2nd-t20i-maaz-sadaqat-96-as-pakistan-beat-sri-lanka-by-82-runs-to-lead).
