# FPSC test schedule: tests for 17 Board of Investment posts pulled from Phase III

**FPSC test schedule update:** the Federal Public Service Commission has taken the tests for **17 Board of Investment (BoI) posts** out of **Phase III of its 2026 testing programme**, which starts on **Monday 12 October 2026**. The recruitment is on hold "until further orders" at the request of the department, and FPSC has given no new date, ARY News and ProPakistani reported from the commission's public notice.

If you applied for any of these BoI posts, you will not sit a test in the Phase III window. Everyone else in Phase III is unaffected.

## The 17 posts on hold

The Board of Investment works under the Prime Minister's Office in Islamabad. The postponed tests cover five categories:

Most of these are senior, lateral-entry jobs. The Assistant Director (BS-17) and PRO (BS-16) posts are the ones open to younger graduates, and they are the ones most candidates will be asking about.

## What it means for applicants

- **Your application stands.** FPSC has paused the process, not cancelled the advertisement. There is no instruction to re-apply or pay the fee again.
- **No test date yet.** The commission says candidates should watch its website for the revised schedule. When BoI clears the posts, they are normally slotted into a later test phase with a fresh admission certificate.

## Why tests get pulled

FPSC holds tests on behalf of ministries and departments, and a department can ask it to stop at any point, usually because the posts, their rules or the budget for them are being revisited. It is the second change to the commission's calendar in a week: it also postponed interviews in Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar set for 24 and 25 September ([our report](/news/education/fpsc-postpones-24-and-25-september-interviews-in-islamabad-lahore-and-peshawar)), and pulled PIMS professor tests over low applications.

## Where to check

The only official source is the FPSC website, fpsc.gov.pk, under Examinations and Public Notices. Do not rely on WhatsApp forwards of "new test dates": the commission publishes revised schedules and admission certificates on its own site and on the candidate portal.
