> The streamer will show one free game per match-day, with a free-to-air channel carrying Spain's games and the final. No price was disclosed.

Netflix will stream all 104 matches of the 2030 FIFA World Cup in Spain and Andorra, the first time the subscription service has bought rights to a men's World Cup, AFP reported on Tuesday, 13 October 2026, in a story carried by ARY News. Variety called it a landmark deal. No price was disclosed.

## What Netflix bought

- **Every match** of the 2030 World Cup, live, for viewers in Spain and Andorra. Netflix said it "will offer all 104 matches of the world's biggest football competition live."
- **One free game per match-day** in Spain, so non-subscribers are not shut out completely.
- A national free-to-air channel, not yet named, will also show all of Spain's games, the final and other matches.

Netflix already holds the US and Canada rights to the 2027 and 2031 Women's World Cups.

## The 2030 World Cup

The 2030 tournament marks the World Cup's centenary. It will be co-hosted by **Spain, Portugal and Morocco**, with opening matches in **Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay** to mark 100 years since the first World Cup in Uruguay.

## Does this affect viewers in Pakistan?

Not directly. This deal covers Spain and Andorra only. In Pakistan, World Cup rights are sold separately, and the 2030 rights here have not been announced. But the deal is a sign of where sport is heading: streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon and Apple are buying live sport, and fans increasingly need a subscription, often billed in dollars, to watch.
