> Unbeaten cruiserweight champion Opetaia moves up to heavyweight to fight the former WBC champion on the undercard of Tyson Fury against Anthony Joshua at the Principality Stadium.

**Deontay Wilder will fight Jai Opetaia on the undercard of Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua** on **Friday 11 December** at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Netflix announced on Wednesday, Sherdog reported. The whole card streams live on Netflix, which is available in Pakistan.

## The fight

| | Deontay Wilder | Jai Opetaia |
|---|---|---|
| Record | 45-4-1 | 31-0 |
| Best title | WBC heavyweight champion, 2015 to 2020 | IBF cruiserweight champion since 2022 |
| Last result | Beat Derek Chisora on a split decision in April | Unbeaten |
| Division for this fight | Heavyweight | Moving up from cruiserweight |

Opetaia, an Australian, has never lost as a professional and is taking the biggest step of his career by moving up a division against one of the hardest punchers heavyweight boxing has seen. Wilder, from Alabama, rebuilt his career with the win over Chisora after a run of defeats and is fighting for a way back into the heavyweight title picture.
