The shutdown is needed to connect a section of SNGPL's main pipeline that has been moved for the **Peshawar Road underpass**. Supply is expected back at 6am.

- **Cook early.** The cut starts at 8:30pm, so finish dinner and fill flasks with hot water before then.
- **Turn every gas appliance off at the knob** before 8:30pm, including geysers and heaters. When pressure returns at 6am, an appliance left open can leak gas into the room before the pilot relights.
- **Check before relighting.** In the morning, open a window, check for the smell of gas, then light burners and geysers one at a time.
- **Do not run a generator or a charcoal angithi indoors** as a substitute heater; both give off carbon monoxide.
