> KDA Director General Zain-ul-Abideen Ansari inspected the Sindh government's affordable housing project in Sector 7-B and asked why it is running late.

**The Karachi Development Authority's Director General, Zain-ul-Abideen Ansari, has ordered work on the Peoples Skyview Housing Project in Sector 7-B, Surjani Town, to be sped up** after an inspection found it behind schedule, [Business Recorder reported](https://www.brecorder.com/news/40443761/peoples-skyview-housing-project-kda-dg-orders-fast-tracking) on Monday 12 October 2026.

Peoples Skyview is a Sindh government-backed affordable housing scheme for Karachi's residents. Ansari, accompanied by KDA Director Estate Enforcement Syed Zain Shah, visited the site office and a model flat and reviewed construction progress, workmanship and the materials being used. He said the project must be finished "at the earliest" without compromising on quality.

## What the KDA ordered

- The executive engineer in charge must fix the shortcomings found on site and speed up work.
- A detailed report is due **within one week** covering the reasons for the delay, the construction materials and their costs, and any other outstanding issues.

The KDA did not give a new completion date, the number of flats, or a price per unit.

## If you have applied or are thinking of it

No new booking or allotment schedule was announced. Before paying anyone, check that a booking is listed with the KDA itself and pay only through the bank or office the KDA names; affordable housing schemes in Karachi regularly attract fake agents who collect deposits for flats that do not exist. Keep every receipt and allotment letter.
