> Unbeaten Barcelona host Mourinho's Real Madrid at the Camp Nou. Kick-off in Pakistan and Gulf time, the La Liga table and the team news.

**Updated Sunday 25 October 2026, 7am PKT: El Clasico is tonight. Barcelona host Real Madrid at the Spotify Camp Nou at 9pm Spanish time, which is 1am PKT on Monday 26 October** ([FC Barcelona](https://www.fcbarcelona.com/en/football/first-team/news/4570226/date-and-kick-off-time-of-laliga-clasico-at-the-spotify-camp-nou-confirmed)). Spain's clocks went back an hour today, so the kick-off is 8pm GMT and midnight in the UAE.

## La Liga table before El Clasico (top five)

| Pos | Team | Played | Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Barcelona | 9 | 27 |
| 2 | Atletico Madrid | 10 | 25 |
| 3 | Real Madrid | 9 | 21 |
| 4 | Real Betis | 9 | 19 |
| 5 | Real Sociedad | 9 | 16 |

Barcelona have won all nine league games (39 scored, 9 conceded), per the [Sky Sports La Liga table](https://www.skysports.com/la-liga-table). Atletico moved second on Saturday with a game more played. A Real Madrid win would cut the gap to three points; a Barcelona win would put them nine clear of Madrid.

## Mourinho's Clasico record

Jose Mourinho returns to the fixture as Real Madrid coach with a record of **5 wins, 6 draws and 6 defeats in 17 Clasicos** (25 goals for, 31 against), [Sports Illustrated](https://www.si.com/soccer/barcelona-vs-real-madrid-date-kickoff-time-jose-mourinho-clasico-return-confirmed) counted. His first, in 2010, ended in a 5-0 defeat; before that he worked at Barcelona as Bobby Robson's assistant in 1996-97.

*Earlier, Friday 23 October 2026:*

**Barcelona vs Real Madrid kicks off at 1am Pakistan time on Monday 26 October** (9pm Sunday in Spain) at the Spotify Camp Nou, in La Liga's first Clasico of the 2026-27 season, the matchday 10 fixture confirmed by [Real Madrid](https://www.realmadrid.com/en-US/news/football/first-team/latest-news/el-barcelona-real-madrid-se-jugara-el-domingo-25-de-octubre-a-las-21-00-h-01-09-2026) and Barcelona. Spain's clocks go back an hour early on Sunday morning, which is why the 9pm kick-off lands at 1am PKT and not midnight.

Barcelona go in **top of La Liga and unbeaten in the league, six points clear of third-placed Real Madrid**, [ARY News reported](https://arynews.tv/barcelona-aiming-to-put-real-madrid-out-of-sight-in-clasico). A home win would stretch the gap to nine points before the end of October.

## El Clasico time in Pakistan

| | Time |
|---|---|
| Spain (CET) | 9pm, Sunday 25 October |
| Pakistan (PKT) | **1am, Monday 26 October** |
| UAE and Oman (GST) | midnight, Sunday into Monday |
| Saudi Arabia (AST) | 11pm, Sunday 25 October |
| UK (GMT) | 8pm, Sunday 25 October |

If you plan to watch live in Pakistan, that means staying up on a work and school night. The match should finish around 2:50am PKT.

## Team news

- **Real Madrid without Vinicius Junior.** The Brazilian is serving a four-match ban after his red card against Villarreal earlier this month, so he misses the trip to Barcelona ([our report on the ban](/news/sports/real-madrid-1-0-villarreal-diomande-scores-vinicius-sent-off-for-pulling-salibas)).
- **Barcelona short at the back.** Eric Garcia and Andreas Christensen are out, Jules Kounde is a doubt and Dani Olmo is injured. Raphinha is fit again.

## What the coaches said

Barcelona coach Hansi Flick admitted his side made "too many mistakes, especially in ball possession" in midweek and said tiredness played a part. Real Madrid's Jose Mourinho played down form going into the game: "It's not a game like the others," he said, adding that confidence "doesn't exist" for a Clasico. He also complained that Madrid had 24 hours less rest than Barcelona after Europe.

## Why it matters

With Barcelona already unbeaten and Madrid six points back, this is the first real chance of the season for Madrid to stop a runaway leader, and the first big test of Mourinho's second spell at the Bernabeu against Flick. A Madrid win cuts the gap to three; a draw keeps it at six.
