**Pakistani passport holders can get a free tourist visa on arrival in Qatar for up to 30 days, provided they meet four conditions set by Qatar's Ministry of Interior,** [ProPakistani reported](https://propakistani.pk/2026/10/30/qatar-announces-free-30-day-tourist-visas-for-pakistanis/) on Friday. Nigeria's [Legit.ng](https://www.legit.ng/people/1738354-qatar-announces-3-countries-citizens-eligible-30-day-free-instant-tourist-visa/) carried the same ministry notice on 28 October. The facility is open to citizens of Pakistan, India and Thailand.

## The four conditions

You need all four at the immigration counter in Doha. Miss one and you may be refused the visa:

1. **A passport valid for at least three months** from the date of travel.
2. **A confirmed return ticket.**
3. **A confirmed hotel booking made only through the official Discover Qatar website.** Bookings from other websites or travel agents' own systems are not accepted.
4. **Health insurance from an insurer approved by Qatar's authorities.**

## How long you can stay

The visa is free, and its length follows your hotel booking, up to a maximum of 30 days. Book five nights and you get five days. ProPakistani notes that this route is separate from Qatar's other visa-free and tourist visa schemes.

## What it means for travellers from Pakistan

Doha is a short flight from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Multan and Sialkot, and many Pakistanis already pass through Hamad International Airport on the way to Europe and North America. The on-arrival route saves the cost and wait of a pre-approved visa, but the hotel rule matters: Discover Qatar is Qatar Airways' holiday arm, so compare its prices before you book flights, and keep printed copies of the hotel voucher, the return ticket and the insurance policy.
