Grade points times credit hours gives the course's quality points; the semester GPA is total quality points divided by total credit hours. **What marks are an A at COMSATS?** 85 percent and above is an A worth 4.00 grade points; 80 to 84 is an A- worth 3.66. The bands are absolute, so the class average does not move them. **What is the pass mark at COMSATS?** 50 percent, a D worth 1.00 grade point. Below 50 is an F with zero points, and the credit hours still count in the GPA denominator. **What CGPA is needed to avoid probation at CUI?** A cumulative 2.00.
