Agriculture Officer / Research Officer (BPS-17), Balochistan Public Service Commission, Quetta

Under Consolidated Advertisement No. 07/2026 (dated 8 September 2026), the Balochistan Public Service Commission is recruiting 105 Agriculture Officers / Research Officers (BPS-17) for the Agriculture Extension Wing of the Agriculture & Cooperatives Department.

The advertisement also sets a disability quota of 5, a women quota of 5 and a minority quota of 6.

Who qualifies

• A Master's degree in Agriculture (at least second division) or a Bachelor's (Honours) in Agriculture (at least second division) from a recognised university
• Both men and women can apply
• The upper age limit is 28 years, plus the general relaxation allowed by the Government of Balochistan. Government servants with two years of continuous regular service get relaxation up to 50 years. Age is counted on the closing date.
• You need a local or domicile certificate for your district. A married woman who is not in government service applies on her husband's domicile.

Selection An MCQ test in the relevant subject, then a viva voce. The viva covers current affairs, general knowledge, Islamic or religious studies and Pakistan studies.

How to apply

1. Apply online on the BPSC website. You do not need to send a hard copy.
2. Generate a PSID and pay the Rs. 800 fee for BPS-17 posts through 1Link. You can pay by mobile banking (EasyPaisa, JazzCash and others), ATM, internet banking or over the counter at a 1Link member bank.
3. Download your admission certificate (roll number slip) from the BPSC website. Bring it and your original CNIC to the test. BPSC currently holds all exams in Quetta, so choose Quetta as your test city.
