The trailer for Mango Jutt, the Punjabi-language action-comedy starring Faysal Quraishi and Hareem Farooq, was released on Wednesday 16 September. It is Farooq's first big-screen role since 2019's Heer Maan Ja, and her first Punjabi film. A release date has still not been announced.

What the trailer shows

The trailer leans into its Punjabi setting. Quraishi plays a strict, by-the-book police officer, and Farooq's character is the one who nicknames him "Mango Jutt".

Much of the footage is the two leads together, with their romance and banter carrying the story between fight scenes, stunts and song-and-dance numbers. Shamoon Abbasi appears as the villain.

The tone is openly masala: big action set pieces, comedy beats and a love track, pitched at audiences who grew up on Punjabi-language cinema in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and beyond.

Who made it

  • Director: Abu Aleeha, according to Dawn Images and PakistaniCinema.net. Express Tribune credits him as the writer.
  • Producer: Hareem Farooq.
  • Lead cast: Faysal Quraishi, Hareem Farooq, Shamoon Abbasi.

For Abu Aleeha, who has mostly worked on independent films, this is his first major mainstream film, PakistaniCinema.net noted when the teaser came out.

A long road to the screen

Mango Jutt has been in the works for years. Filming wrapped some time ago, but the project was held up in development and post-production. The teaser surfaced in late May 2026 and ended with the line "Not just the mangoes, Jutt is coming too", which many read as a hint at a summer release. That window passed without a date.

The new trailer is the clearest sign yet that the film is close, but neither the producers nor the press coverage have confirmed when it reaches cinemas.

Where to watch the trailer

The trailer, titled "Mango Jutt | 2026 | Official Trailer", is on YouTube on the HAMEEM channel (@Hameem-Productions), the same channel that published the official teaser in May. Express Tribune also embedded a version shared on Instagram.

Search for the exact title and check the channel name before sharing. A number of reaction and re-upload channels are already using "Mango Jutt trailer" in their titles.

What happens next

Watch for a release announcement from the cast and producer. Until then, the film has no confirmed slot in the cinema calendar. For more film and drama news, see our entertainment section.
