Fatima Jinnah Medical University is a Government of the Punjab medical university at 17 Queen's Road, Lahore, established in 1948. It teaches the MBBS degree (admission through UHS) and postgraduate MS/MD, MPhil, PhD and MHPE programmes. Its College of Nursing runs BSN and Post RN programmes, and allied health courses train dialysis, anaesthesia, CSSD, dispensing, laboratory, radiology, physiotherapy and operation theatre technicians. Clinical teaching takes place at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, the Mother and Child Hospital, the Government Teaching Hospital Shahdara and the Punjab Thalassaemia and Other Genetic Disorders Prevention and Research Institute.
