About

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) is a public university established in 1975 by upgrading the historic Jamia Abbasia. It operates the Abbasia, Baghdad-ul-Jadeed and Khawaja Fareed campuses in Bahawalpur plus campuses in Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan, and reports more than 350 academic programmes and around 35,000 students. Study options run from undergraduate degrees and BS 5th semester entry to MS, MPhil, MBA, PhD, post-doctoral and diploma programmes, including pharmacy and law, as well as short courses and online and distance education. Admissions run in the fall: for Fall 2026 the university published merit lists for BS, MS, MPhil and MBA programmes and reserved seats for students from the former FATA regions. Facilities include male and female hostels at every campus, a large transport fleet, a sports complex, the Sir Sadiq Library, and a special admission quota with full fee waiver for students with disabilities. The site lists the fee structure, eligibility criteria and important dates. Contact: +92 62 9250235 or info@iub.edu.pk.
