Rawalpindi Medical University (RMU) is a public sector medical university in Rawalpindi, Punjab, with roots going back to 1974. Undergraduate study covers MBBS, BS Nursing and a range of allied health sciences programmes. At postgraduate level the university runs a residency programme with MS/MD training in many specialties, as well as MPhil, PhD and a Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE). Diploma and certificate courses are also offered. Clinical teaching takes place at three affiliated public teaching hospitals: Holy Family Hospital (Satellite Town), Benazir Bhutto Hospital (Murree Road) and Rawalpindi Teaching Hospital (DHQ). The Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology and the Rawalpindi Institute of Urology and Transplantation are collaborating hospitals. Admission notices, merit lists and prospectuses for MBBS and MS/MD are posted on the university website.
