The University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Peshawar is a public engineering university that gained university status in 1980 and reports more than 18,000 graduates. It offers bachelor's degrees and postgraduate programmes leading to Master's and PhD degrees, and states around 8,000 enrolled students, 31 degree programmes and 200 PhD faculty. Its four faculties are Electrical & Computer Engineering; Mechanical, Chemical & Industrial Engineering; Civil, Agricultural & Mining Engineering; and Architecture, Allied Sciences & Humanities. The university also hosts 13 specialised research centres, including national centres in artificial intelligence and big data. Besides the main campus on Jamrud Road, Peshawar, it has campuses in Abbottabad, Nowshera and Bannu. Undergraduate and postgraduate admissions are handled through the admission section of the site, which links to the engineering entry test portal, and 2026-27 undergraduate and postgraduate prospectuses are available for download.
