Project Manager Software and Deputy Director IT Infrastructure (MP-III), Ministry of Railways, Islamabad

The Ministry of Railways is hiring two IT specialists on contract in the MP-III scale. Applications close on 11 November 2026. These are separate from Pakistan Railways' Balochistan quota recruitment.

Project Manager Software (IT)

• PhD in programme or project management or a related subject with 3 years in software development and hands-on programming, or a master's in the same with 5 years.
• Manages software projects for Railways' business units from planning to launch: scope, timelines, resources, change control, stakeholder reporting and process documentation.

Deputy Director IT Infrastructure

• PhD in computer science, computer or software engineering, data science or IT with 3 years of relevant experience, or a master's (or MBA in IT/MIS) with 5 years.
• Leads cloud and on-premises infrastructure strategy, automation and deployment, and sets and meets service levels for availability, performance and incidents.

Age and pay

Maximum age 62. MP-III is a government management pay scale; the listings do not state a salary figure.
