Technical Consultant (Minerals), SPPS-II, Petroleum Division, Islamabad

The Petroleum Division (Ministry of Energy) wants one Technical Consultant (Minerals) on contract in the SPPS-II special pay scale, advertised on the National Jobs Portal.

The role

• Expert input on mineral exploration, development, production, processing, reclamation and environmental issues.
• Due diligence on mineral feasibility studies and investment proposals, and advice on transaction structures.
• Work on the sustainable use of Pakistan's coal, including coal gasification.
• Strategy for critical and rare minerals, techno-economic analysis and help drafting MOUs, tenders and agreements.
• Monitoring mineral projects against HSE standards and international practice.

Who can apply

• Qualification: BE or ME Mining Engineering, BE Geological Engineering, BS Applied Geology, BSc (Hons) Geology, or MSc, MS or MPhil in Geology or Geological Sciences or Engineering.
• Experience: 9 years.
