Foundation Public School (FPS) began in Karachi in 1981 with 12 students and now runs a network of campuses in Karachi and Hyderabad. Its O Level Defence Campus (OLDC), on P.N. Shifa Road behind Tooba Masjid in Defence Phase II, was the school's first purpose-built O Level campus. It opened in 2005 and was designed by the late architect Habib Fida Ali. The campus teaches Grades VIII to XI on the O Level curriculum, with academic and extracurricular programmes, student clubs, sports, community service and leadership activities.
