Emergency Medical Technicians, Fire Rescuers and Drivers, Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Emergency Rescue Service (Rescue 1122) is hiring 800 people on a regular basis for postings in any district of the province. Testing is handled by ETEA (project code 839).

Posts and numbers

  • Emergency Medical Technician (BPS-12): 350 posts. You need a paramedical diploma, nursing or LHV qualification. A diploma in Health Technology or Surgical Technology gets preference.
  • Fire Rescuer (BPS-11): 175 posts. You need F.Sc (Pre-Engineering) or a DAE.
  • Driver (BPS-06): 275 posts. You need Middle pass, physical fitness and a valid HTV or LTV licence. A licence application token will not be accepted.

The posts are split between open merit, six zones, a minority quota and (for EMTs and Fire Rescuers) a women quota. The zone breakup is on the ETEA and rescuekp.gov.pk websites.

Who can apply

  • Pakistani citizens with a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa domicile
  • Age 22 to 35 years, with relaxation under government rules
  • Women and minority candidates are encouraged to apply

Selection

  1. A physical test. Men must be at least 5'6" tall with a 33" chest and run one mile in 7 minutes. Women must be at least 5'2" tall and run one mile in 9 minutes. Candidates aged 40 or above also get 9 minutes.
  2. An ETEA screening test. The pass mark is 40%.
  3. An interview. Final merit counts education for 70 marks, the ETEA test for 20 and the interview for 10.

Selected candidates get a medical check in Peshawar and six months of training. They must also show a police clearance certificate.

How to apply

  1. Open the ETEA portal and create your profile.
  2. Choose the Rescue 1122 project and fill in the form. If you want more than one post, send a separate application and fee for each.
  3. Pay the test fee as the portal instructs. The advertisement does not state the amount.
  4. If you work for a government body, apply through proper channel.

Online applications are open from 15 September 2026 to 15 October 2026.
