Open Rescue 1122's recruitment policyHow recruitment works
The only way to join Rescue 1122 is to apply when posts are advertised. Vacant posts appear in at least two leading national dailies, one Urdu and one English. Applications are taken only on the prescribed form.
- Your application is checked against the advert's criteria and may be short-listed further.
- Written test.
- Physical fitness and medical screening.
- Skill and psychometric evaluation.
- Interview by the Recruitment Committee, for candidates who pass every stage.
Physical and medical screening
The Service's recruitment policy says a candidate can be turned away at this stage for weak eyesight, obesity with a BMI of 30 or more, or certain infections. Appointment depends on medical fitness from the Medical Board. Standards for each post are in the advert, so prepare against that.
Beware of anyone offering a shortcut
Rescue 1122 says no officer can recruit anyone directly, and no one can help you get in. Do not pay anyone who offers this.
