The Balochistan Public Service Commission is recruiting for 122 BPS-17 posts in the Livestock and Dairy Development Department under Consolidated Advertisement No. 09/2026.
The posts
- 109 posts in the Directorate of Animal Health and Extension Services: Assistant Directors (Development, Planning, Data Reporting, Procurement, Technical, Coordination, Land Record, Research), Lecturer, Research Officer, Scientific Officer, Artificial Insemination Officer, Assistant District Livestock Officer and Veterinary Officer. They are spread across Kalat, Zhob, Nasirabad, Mekran, Quetta and Sibi zones, Quetta City and merit, with 5 posts each for the disabled, women and minority quotas.
- 13 posts in the Directorate of Farm and Feed Resources: Assistant Directors (Technical, Planning, Procurement, Coordination, Information), Assistant Registrar Livestock Farms, Research Officer and Veterinary Officer.
Who qualifies
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or BSc (Hons) in Animal Husbandry or Veterinary Science from a recognised university, plus valid registration with the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council. Men and women can both apply. You need the local or domicile certificate of your district. Age limit is 18 to 28 years on the closing date, plus the general age relaxation allowed by the Government of Balochistan; government servants with two years of continuous regular service can apply up to 50. Persons with disabilities and legal heirs of shuhada also get the relaxation.
Pay and selection
The posts are in BPS-17 (the advertisement gives no salary figure). Selection is an MCQ test in the relevant subject, then an interview covering current affairs, general knowledge, Islamic studies and Pakistan studies.
How to apply
Apply online only at bpsc.gob.pk (no hard copy is needed). The fee is Rs 800, paid through a 1Link PSID by mobile banking, EasyPaisa, JazzCash, ATM, internet banking or over the counter at a 1Link member bank. Candidates who clear the MCQ test are called for a viva voce and must send attested documents within 10 days of BPSC's notice.
