Asian Games 2026 cricket schedule in Pakistan time: women's semi-final Sunday 5am

Pakistan women play their Asian Games 2026 cricket semi-final on Sunday 20 September at 5:00am Pakistan time, against the winner of Friday's Sri Lanka vs Malaysia quarter-final. Pakistan's men enter later, with a quarter-final on Monday 28 September at 5:00am PKT. Every match is at Kōrogi Sports Park in Nisshin, near Nagoya, which is four hours ahead of Pakistan, so the 9am and 2pm Japan starts become 5:00am and 10:00am in Pakistan.

In Pakistan, Tamasha (Jazz's streaming app) carries the Games live from 19 September, including men's and women's cricket, and PTV is the official TV broadcaster.

Women's cricket: what is left

The women's event is a straight knockout of eight teams, all T20. Pakistan got through on Thursday by beating Thailand by three wickets with two balls to spare in a rain-cut 11-over game (our match report). Bangladesh went through without a ball bowled when their quarter-final against China was abandoned.

If Pakistan win on Sunday they play for gold at 10:00am on Tuesday 22 September. If they lose, they play for bronze at 5:00am the same day.

Men's cricket: Pakistan start in the quarter-finals

Ten teams play in the men's event. Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are seeded straight into the quarter-finals. The other six play a short group stage from 24 to 26 September:

• Group A: Afghanistan, Japan, Nepal
• Group B: Hong Kong, Malaysia, Oman

Pakistan meet the Group B runner-up, so the opponent will be Hong Kong, Malaysia or Oman.

India and Pakistan are in opposite halves of the draw, so the only match where they can meet is the gold medal match on 3 October.

Pakistan's men's squad

The PCB named a 15-man squad on 10 June, led by Sahibzada Farhan with Abdul Samad as vice-captain: Abrar Ahmed, Ahmed Daniyal, Akif Javed, Ali Raza, Arafat Minhas, Haider Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Maaz Sadaqat, Mohammad Salman Mirza, Saad Masood, Saim Ayub, Sufyan Moqim and Usman Khan (wicketkeeper). Mike Hesson is head coach.

Sadaqat is in form: his 49-ball 112 this week took Jamaica Kingsmen into the CPL's Qualifier 2 (details).
