Asia Cup schedule and results: Pakistan's record, Women's Asia Cup 2026, 2027 dates

There is no men's Asia Cup this year. The next one is the 2027 Asia Cup in Bangladesh, from 18 June to 4 July 2027, in the 50-over (ODI) format. The latest edition to finish was the 2026 Women's T20 Asia Cup in Dubai, which India won on 13 September, beating Sri Lanka by 72 runs. Pakistan reached the semi-finals and lost to Sri Lanka. The next continental event for both Pakistan teams is the Asian Games in Japan this month.

Women's T20 Asia Cup 2026: group tables

Eight teams played in two groups at Dubai International Cricket Stadium from 28 August to 13 September. The top two in each group went to the semi-finals.

How Pakistan's campaign went

• Beat Thailand by 35 runs (1 September). Muneeba Ali was player of the match.
• Lost to India by 7 wickets (5 September). Pakistan were bowled out for 55 in 18.1 overs and India knocked the runs off in 8.4 overs.
• Beat Hong Kong by 72 runs (7 September). Nashra Sandhu took 6 for 7, the first six-wicket haul by a Pakistani in a women's T20I, and the win sealed a semi-final place.
• Lost the semi-final to Sri Lanka by 4 wickets (11 September). Fatima Sana made 47 not out off 36 balls and took four wickets, but Sri Lanka chased 132 with more than an over to spare.

India's Shafali Verma was the top run-scorer (236) and Deepti Sharma the top wicket-taker (14). The title was India's eighth Women's Asia Cup.

Men's Asia Cup: last edition and next

2025 (T20, UAE, 9 to 28 September 2025): India beat Pakistan by 5 wickets in the final in Dubai, the first India vs Pakistan final in the tournament's history. Pakistan were bowled out for 146 in 19.1 overs, with Sahibzada Farhan top-scoring on 57. Tilak Varma was player of the match.

2027 (ODI, Bangladesh, 18 June to 4 July 2027):

• 6 teams: Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and one qualifier
• 13 matches: two groups of three, then a Super 4, then the final
• Venues under consideration are Dhaka, Sylhet and Chattogram, and the final is expected at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur
• It is Pakistan's main 50-over warm-up for the 2027 ODI World Cup
