Girls' school on M. A. Jinnah Road since 1918
The Mama Parsi Girls' Secondary School on M. A. Jinnah Road, Karachi, was established in 1918 as a high school for Parsi girls, after the community had long sought a separate girls' school. According to the school's history, it first ran in part of the Bai Virbaiji Soparivala school and moved in 1919 to Mama Mansion, the building on the corner of Haji Abdullah Haroon and Inverarity Roads, before its present building was put up with donations led by Khan Bahadur Ardeshir H. Mama. Today the school runs primary, matriculation and Cambridge streams, plus an afternoon shift, and publishes syllabi, textbook lists, admission circulars, entrance test schedules and results on its website. Class I and Class II onwards admissions each have their own registration notices. School timings published by the school: morning shift Monday to Thursday 7:45 am to 1:15 pm and Friday 7:45 am to 12:30 pm; afternoon shift Monday to Thursday 12:45 pm to 5:30 pm and Friday 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
