How to apply

PPSC accepts applications only through its online form, and no other format. You can apply for more than one post in an advert, with a separate fee for each post.

1. Start from the Apply Online button on PPSC's site.
2. Fill in your personal profile.
3. Pay the fee.
4. Upload your image.
5. Add your qualifications, then your service details if you have any.
6. Submit, and keep the Application Number and Edit Token Number PPSC gives you. They also arrive by email and SMS.

Paying the fee

The system generates a 17-digit PSID number at the fee step and sends it to you by email and SMS. You pay against that number through the channels PPSC lists. The amount depends on the post, so read it from the advert.

Candidates with disabilities and PPSC employees are exempt from the application fee.

Age limits and relaxation

Your age is taken from your date of birth on your Matric certificate. For most posts it is worked out on the closing date; for a competitive or combined competitive exam it is worked out on 1 January of the exam year.

A candidate under or over the limit by even one day is not eligible. Where the department grants a general relaxation, PPSC's rule is 5 years for men and 8 for women, and it appears in the advert. Any relaxation for government servants is also stated in the advert.

How many chances you get

For posts filled by a written test and interview, or an interview alone, PPSC allows 5 chances. Competitive examinations, including the combined competitive exam, allow 3.
