Chairman, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), SPPS-I, Cabinet Division, Islamabad

The Cabinet Division has advertised the post of Chairman, OGRA, the regulator of Pakistan's mid-stream and downstream oil and gas sector, on the National Jobs Portal.

The job: run OGRA's operations transparently under its statutes, meet the goals set by the OGRA Board, set short and long-term regulatory strategy, and manage relations with stakeholders.

Who qualifies:

• A master's degree (16 years of education) from an HEC-recognised institution in law, business, engineering, finance, accounting, economics, petroleum, technology, public administration, management or sector regulation
• At least 20 years of experience in large public or private organisations, with 3 years as head of an organisation
• Pakistani citizen, not over 61 on the closing date
• No financial interest or connection with anyone in a regulated oil and gas activity

Pay and tenure: Special Professional Pay Scale I (SPPS-I). Initial four-year term, renewable once or until age 65. Government servants apply through proper channel and must resign or retire before joining.
