Snooker calendar: Shenzhen Open from 28 September, then Belfast and the UK Championship

The snooker season's next ranking event is the Shenzhen Open, from 28 September to 4 October in Shenzhen, China. Until then the tour is at the Leicester Arena, where Scottish Open qualifying runs 20 to 23 September.

• Wuhan Open, 23 to 29 August: won by Chang Bingyu
• Unibet British Open, Cheltenham, 31 August to 6 September: won by Jak Jones
• BetVictor English Open, Brentwood, 7 to 13 September: won by Ali Carter, beating Mark Williams in the final and taking the title for the first time

Mark Allen has extended his absence from the tour with a further withdrawal.

Watching from Pakistan

China is UTC+8, three hours ahead of Pakistan, so the Shenzhen Open's afternoon sessions land in the late morning here and evening sessions in the afternoon. The British events are the other way: the UK is on BST until late October and then GMT, so a 7pm Belfast session starts at 11pm or midnight in Karachi.
