Charge Nurse (Female) BS-16, Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department Punjab, Lahore

The Punjab Public Service Commission has advertised 1,958 Charge Nurse (Female) posts in BS-16 for the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department under Advertisement No. 10/2026. This is the largest single cadre in the advertisement and one of the biggest nursing recruitments Punjab has run.

Appointment is on a three-year contract and posting can be anywhere in Punjab.

Who qualifies

Either a four-year B.Sc. Nursing degree or a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery, and in both cases a valid registration with the Pakistan Nursing Council. Candidates from government institutions are given preference.

Age limit for female candidates is 21 to 28 years, with relaxation of up to 8 years taking the maximum to 36. Transgender applicants' age and gender are taken from the CNIC. Domicile of any Punjab district is accepted.

Selection

Where a written test is held it is a single MCQ paper of 100 marks in 90 minutes, based entirely on the qualification for the post. Shortlisted candidates go to interview before the Commission.
