Director General Telecom Wireless (MP-II), Ministry of IT and Telecom, Islamabad

The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) is hiring one Director General Telecom Wireless on contract in MP-II scale, advertised on the government's National Jobs Portal.

The role

Lead policy work on wireless communication: spectrum management, next-generation mobile networks, broadband, satellite and RF communications, telecom licensing and quality of service. The DG advises senior government forums and regulators and represents Pakistan in ITU and regional forums.

Who qualifies

• PhD in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Systems, Telecommunication Engineering, Engineering Management or a related discipline from an HEC-recognised university with 10 years of relevant experience, or
• Master's in the same fields with 14 years of relevant experience.
• Maximum age 62 years on the closing date.
• Proven experience in telecom policy, regulation and team leadership, and knowledge of public procurement rules.

Pay

MP-II scale (Management Position scale of the federal government), contract appointment.
