BISE Rawalpindi result check 2026: roll number, SMS 800296, gazette and rechecking

BISE Rawalpindi declared the HSSC Part-II (12th class) result 2026 at 10:00am on Wednesday 23 September 2026, alongside the other eight Punjab boards. This guide covers every way to check a BISE Rawalpindi result: online by roll number, by SMS to 800296, through the board's e-services portal, and through the gazette. It also covers rechecking, result cards and the mistakes that cost students time. The same steps work for the 9th and 10th class (SSC) results when the board declares them.

Which students this covers

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi serves six districts: Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Murree and Talagang. If you studied or sat your exam as a private candidate in any of these, your result comes from BISE Rawalpindi, not Lahore or Gujranwala. Islamabad's schools and colleges mostly sit under FBISE, which runs a separate site and calendar.

Method 1: check online by roll number

1. Open the board's official site, biserawalpindi.edu.pk, or its e-services portal, eservices.biserawalpindi.edu.pk.
2. Choose the result link for the exam you sat: HSSC Part-II Annual 2026 for 12th class, SSC for matric.
3. Enter your roll number exactly as printed on the roll number slip.
4. Submit. The result shows your marks by subject, the total and whether you passed.
5. Take a screenshot or print the page. It is not an official document, but it is useful until your result card arrives.

In the first hour after a declaration the site slows badly. If it does not load, wait a few minutes rather than reloading repeatedly, or use the SMS route below.

Method 2: check by SMS (800296)

1. Open a new text message on any network (Jazz, Zong, Telenor or Ufone).
2. Type only your roll number. No name, no class, no spaces or words before it.
3. Send it to 800296.
4. The reply carries your marks and result status.

Standard SMS charges apply, and it works without internet. This is the fastest route on result day, and the right one if your mobile data is off (mobile services in Rawalpindi and Attock are due to be suspended on 26 and 27 September for security reasons, so check before then).

Method 3: search by name in the gazette

If you have lost your roll number slip, the board's gazette lists every candidate's roll number, name, institution and result. Download the gazette PDF from the board's site, then search for your full name (Ctrl+F on a computer, or the search box in a phone PDF reader) and match your college name to confirm it is your record. Several websites repost gazettes, but only the file on the board's own site is authoritative.

Result cards and certificates

The detailed marks certificate (DMC) reaches students through their college for regular candidates. Private candidates and anyone who needs a duplicate can apply through the e-services portal, which handles result cards, duplicate and triplicate certificates, name and date-of-birth corrections, verification and migration (NOC). Fees for each service are paid through the portal's online challan.

Rechecking your marks

If a paper's marks look wrong, apply through Online Rechecking on the e-services portal. The form shows the fee per paper and the closing date for this result; Punjab boards usually close rechecking within about 30 days of the declaration, so do it early. Keep your payment receipt.

Know what a recheck does: the board re-counts the marks already awarded, checks that every answer was marked and that totals were copied correctly. It does not re-mark your answers or change an examiner's judgement. It is worth it for a mark far below what you expected in a paper you finished, or a total that does not add up.

What to do with your marks next

Common mistakes

• Typing words in the SMS. The 800296 service reads only the roll number. "Roll 123456" fails.
• Trusting copycat sites. Many sites with "biserwp" in the name show results scraped from the board. If the marks differ, the board's site wins.
• Missing the recheck deadline while waiting for a college to hand over the DMC. You can apply online with your roll number.
• Paying an agent for a recheck or a duplicate certificate. Every service is on the board's own portal.
