Arsenal vs Leeds finished 2-1 to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, a lunchtime kick-off that ran from 4:30pm to about 6:25pm in Pakistan. Leeds went ahead through James Justin early in the second half, Riccardo Calafiori equalised on 62 minutes and substitute Bruno Guimaraes won it with a low shot from outside the box on 70 minutes, NBC Sports reported. It is the first Premier League defeat of the season for Daniel Farke's Leeds.

How the goals went in

• 0-1, Justin (Leeds): Leeds, arguably the better side in the first half, broke through after the break when Justin finished a low ball from Gabriel Gudmundsson, 101 Great Goals reported.
• 1-1, Calafiori (Arsenal), 62': Noni Madueke crossed to the back post, Ben White headed it back across and Calafiori volleyed in from close range, his first goal of the season.
• 2-1, Guimaraes (Arsenal), 70': Mikel Arteta had brought on Guimaraes, Jurrien Timber and Viktor Gyokeres in one triple change, for Myles Lewis-Skelly, White and Kai Havertz. Five minutes or so later Guimaraes finished a move through Madueke, Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice.

Arteta chose to push forward rather than settle for a draw, and it worked. Leeds replied with Brenden Aaronson and Harry Wilson for Ao Tanaka and Noah Okafor on 71 minutes, but Arsenal saw it out; an Odegaard chance late on was deflected into the arms of James Trafford.

Arsenal have 15 points from six games (five wins, one defeat), level on points with Manchester City and behind them on goal difference, NBC Sports reported. It is the right answer to their 3-0 loss at Brighton before the international break. Leeds stay on 9 points with a record of two wins, three draws and one defeat, still in the top four, NBC said, ahead of a home game with Manchester United on Sunday 18 October at 2pm UK time (6pm PKT), Leeds United's fixture list shows.
