Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh, Asian Games bronze medal match: Sri Lanka won by 63 runs in Nisshin, Japan, on Saturday morning. Sri Lanka made 165 for 9 after slipping to 21 for 4, then bowled Bangladesh out for 102 in 17.3 overs to take the men's cricket bronze, according to the ESPNcricinfo scorecard.
The result settles the podium below the gold medal match: Pakistan vs India in the final at 9:30am PKT today (timings and probable XIs).

How Sri Lanka recovered
Bangladesh struck early: Mahedi Hasan took two wickets in his opening spell and Sri Lanka were 21 for 4 inside four overs. Captain Sahan Arachchige held one end for 33, and then Tharindu Ratnayake turned the innings with 65 off 32 balls, hitting seven fours and five sixes before Mustafizur Rahman had him caught at extra cover in the 19th over. Sri Lanka added more than 110 runs after the fifth wicket fell at 54.
For Bangladesh, Mahedi finished with 2 for 19 and Saif Hassan 2 for 28. Mustafizur took 2 for 43.
Bangladesh never got going
The chase fell apart at once. Nuwan Thushara removed Saif Hassan with the last ball of the first over and bowled captain Litton Das with a yorker in the third; Ratnayake, now with the ball, had Tanzid Hasan and Towhid Hridoy caught. Bangladesh were 18 for 4, and the spinners Viyaskanth and Wanuja Sahan finished the job. Only a 26 from Nasum Ahmed at No. 9 took them past 100.
