Pakistan vs Sri Lanka 2026: schedule, venues and results, T20Is from 9 October

Updated Saturday 26 September 2026. Pakistan vs Sri Lanka starts on Friday 9 October 2026 with the first of three T20Is at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Sri Lanka then stay for more than a month: an ODI tri-series with England from 18 October and two Tests in November, eight Pakistan vs Sri Lanka matches in all. Start times, squads and ticket links are not out yet; this page adds each one the day the PCB or Sri Lanka Cricket confirms it, and every result after the match.

Sri Lanka also play England twice in the tri-series, on 22 October in Rawalpindi and 29 October in Lahore, and a three-day warm-up in Islamabad from 4 to 6 November before the Tests. The full tri-series, including Pakistan's two games against England, is on our Pakistan cricket schedule 2026-27.

Pakistan time: all matches are in Pakistan, so the times the PCB announces will already be PKT. Day T20Is and day-night ODIs in Rawalpindi usually start in the afternoon or evening; we will add each one here once it is confirmed rather than guess.

Why this series matters

• T20Is: the first home series of the season and a chance to see the new-look side that is at the Asian Games in Japan this week. Pakistan meet Hong Kong in a quarter-final on Monday 28 September at 5am PKT (Asian Games cricket).
• ODIs: with the 2027 ODI World Cup a year away, all three teams in the tri-series are settling their 50-over squads.
• Tests: both carry World Test Championship 2025-27 points.

Sri Lanka's form coming in

Sri Lanka arrive from England, where they lost the T20I series 3-0 but levelled the ODI series 1-1 at Headingley, with Kusal Mendis starring. The deciding ODI is at The Oval on Sunday 27 September at 2:30pm PKT; live score in our match centre.
