BISE Peshawar has published the list of Class 9 students from government schools who will be considered for free Chromebooks, under the Prime Minister's laptop and Chromebook drive for public-sector students, ProPakistani reported on Saturday 17 October 2026. The list is on the board's official website, and schools now have to verify each student before any device is handed over.

Who is on the list

The board picked students who sat the SSC Annual-I Examination 2026 (Class 9) at public-sector schools affiliated with BISE Peshawar. The marks used to identify them:

GroupMarks used for selection
Science424 or more
Arts (Humanities)315 or more

These marks were used to shortlist students for consideration. They are not presented as a guaranteed cut-off, so a student at or above the mark should still check that their name appears, and the final allocation depends on verification and the programme's rules.

What schools must do now

The work falls on the school, not the student. According to the board's notification as reported:

  1. The principal or head checks the list for the school's students.
  2. The school fills in the verification form for each student: name, B-Form number, exam roll number, board registration number, marks and school details.
  3. Attach the student's marksheet, an attested copy of the B-Form and an attested copy of the parent's or guardian's CNIC.
  4. The student and parent or guardian sign, then the principal signs and stamps it.
  5. The signed hard copies go to the Director Equivalence, Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC), Plot No. 25, Street No. 38, G-10/4, Islamabad, and the school informs the Director of Research and Development at BISE Peshawar.

No submission deadline was given in the report, so schools should send the forms without waiting.

What parents should do

  • Check the list on the BISE Peshawar website with your child's roll number.
  • Make sure the B-Form is in order. The form needs the B-Form number and an attested copy; if your child does not have one, our guide to the NADRA fee calculator shows what a B-Form (CRC) costs.
  • Ask the school whether the form has been sent. A missing signature or unattested copy can hold up a device.

The bigger programme

The federal government has said it will distribute 700,000 Chromebooks to students across Pakistan, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, in phases, under the Prime Minister's Youth Programme led by Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Profit reported. Peshawar's list is the board-level step that turns that promise into named students.
