Inter second annual exam 2026 in Punjab from 3 November: single fee till 6 October

Intermediate students in Punjab who failed a paper, missed the first annual exam or want better marks get their next chance on 3 November 2026. All nine Punjab boards will hold the HSSC Second Annual Examination 2026 (often called the inter supplementary exam) together, and admission forms are already open.

The single-fee window closes on 6 October. After that the same form costs double, then triple, and the last date of all is 17 October.

Who can sit the second annual exam

The second annual exam is for candidates who:

• failed one or more papers in Part I or Part II in the first annual exam 2026 (compartment cases),
• want to improve their marks under their board's improvement rules,
• could not appear in the first annual exam and are eligible to sit as full appear candidates, subject to board rules.

Each board applies its own rules on how many papers you can improve and whether a composite (Part I and Part II together) attempt is allowed, so check your board's admission notice before you pay.

How to apply

1. Regular candidates apply through their college, which logs in to the board's admission portal. At BISE Lahore that is admissionhssc.biselahore.com.
2. Private candidates fill the form themselves on the board's private admission portal. BISE Lahore's is hsscpvt.biselahore.com, which already lists "Admission For Intermediate Second Annual Examination, 2026" with options for HSSC-II, composite, full appear and compartment.
3. Enter your previous roll number or registration number, check your subjects, then print the fee challan.
4. Pay the challan at the designated bank branch before the fee window closes. The date on your paid challan decides whether you are charged single, double or triple fee.
5. Keep a printed copy of the form and paid challan. Roll number slips are normally issued online about a week before the first paper.

BISE Lahore's form page warns that the admission form must be filled and downloaded within 5 minutes before the session expires, so have your details ready before you log in.

What it costs you if you are late

Boards set their own fee amounts per paper and per category, and each board's notice lists them. What is fixed across Punjab is the penalty: pay after 6 October and you pay twice the normal fee, after 13 October three times. For a student repeating two or three papers, applying in the first window is the cheapest option by a wide margin.

At BISE Gujranwala, fees for several services rose from 19 September 2026. Admission processing for classes 9 to 12 is now Rs 1,300, up from Rs 1,000, and per-copy rechecking is Rs 2,000, up from Rs 1,600.
