KPPSC civil judge result 2026: only 3 of 1,024 candidates pass for 105 posts
English sank most of the field in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's civil judge written exam. Who passed, the paper-by-paper pass rates and what failed candidates can do now.
Only 3 of 1,024 candidates passed the written examination for Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate and Alaqa Qazi (BPS-18) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the result the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission (KPPSC) posted on its website on Friday 2 October 2026 (advertisement No. 03/2026). The Peshawar High Court had advertised 105 posts in April 2026, which means at most three of them can be filled from this round, ProPakistani reported.
The three who passed are Saba Rasool (South Waziristan), Abdullah Noor (Bajaur) and Sayed Zahid Hussain (Mardan).
KPPSC civil judge result 2026 in numbers
| Stage | Candidates |
|---|---|
| Applications received | 3,097 |
| Appeared in the written exam | 1,024 |
| Passed every paper | 3 |
| Posts advertised | 105 |
That is a pass rate of about 0.3% of those who sat the exam.
Where candidates failed
English sank most of the field. Pass counts per paper, as reported from the KPPSC result:
| Paper | Passed | Sat | Pass rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| English (General and Essay) | 149 | 1,024 | about 15% |
| General Knowledge | 317 | 1,005 | about 32% |
| Urdu (General and Essay) | 369 | 654 | about 57% |
| Criminal Law | 803 | 996 | about 81% |
| Pashto (General and Essay) | 335 | 340 | about 96% |
Candidates had to clear every paper, so a law graduate who did well in criminal law but failed the English essay is out. The English paper alone removed 875 candidates.
What happens next
- The three successful candidates must submit their documents to KPPSC within 15 days before moving to the next stage.
- Everyone else: the commission has posted detailed marks certificates (DMCs) on kppsc.gov.pk. Candidates who think a paper was marked wrongly can apply for re-totalling of their marks; a re-total checks the addition, not the marking itself.
- The other 102 posts cannot be filled from this round of the exam.
