Aisha Steel cuts CRC by Rs 6,000 and galvanised coil by Rs 8,000 a ton from 1 November
Cold-rolled coil now costs Rs 202,450 a ton and HDGC Rs 191,800. What it means for roofing sheet, appliance and furniture makers, and for you.
Aisha Steel Mills (ASL), one of Pakistan's main flat steel producers, has cut its prices by up to Rs 8,000 a ton with effect from 1 November 2026, according to channel checks by brokerage JS Research reported by ProPakistani.
The new Aisha Steel prices
| Product | Old price (approx.) | New price | Cut |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cold-rolled coil (CRC) | Rs 208,450 a ton | Rs 202,450 a ton | Rs 6,000 (2.9%) |
| Hot-dip galvanised coil (HDGC) | Rs 199,800 a ton | Rs 191,800 a ton | Rs 8,000 (4%) |
The update was shared by M. Waqas Ghani of JS Research. These are market figures from the brokerage's checks with dealers; ProPakistani's report does not cite a statement from the company.
Who uses this steel
Flat steel is not something households buy by the ton, but it sits inside a lot of what they do buy:
- CRC goes into fridges, washing machines, air conditioner casings, car body parts, steel almirahs and office furniture.
- HDGC is the base for galvanised roofing sheets used across Punjab and Sindh for sheds, shops, poultry farms and boundary roofs, as well as for appliance bodies and construction channels.
For a workshop or sheet maker buying 10 tons of HDGC, the cut saves about Rs 80,000 on one order. The same quantity of CRC is about Rs 60,000 cheaper.
Will prices in the market fall?
That depends on whether fabricators and appliance makers pass the saving on. Steel is only one part of an appliance's cost, alongside compressors, copper, electronics and electricity, so a 3 to 4 percent cut in sheet costs will move a fridge price by far less than that. Roofing sheet buyers are most likely to see a difference, since galvanised coil is most of what a sheet costs.
Because Aisha Steel is one of Pakistan's main flat steel producers, its move often sets the direction for the wider market, so watch for whether others follow over the next week.
What it means for builders
If you are roofing or building this winter, ask your dealer for the current sheet price per foot and compare it with a quote from before 1 November. Our plot size converter helps you work out covered area, and the sales tax calculator shows how much of a quoted price is the 18% GST.
