Updated Sunday 25 October 2026, 7am PKT: El Clasico is tonight. Barcelona host Real Madrid at the Spotify Camp Nou at 9pm Spanish time, which is 1am PKT on Monday 26 October (FC Barcelona). Spain's clocks went back an hour today, so the kick-off is 8pm GMT and midnight in the UAE.

Barcelona have won all nine league games (39 scored, 9 conceded), per the Sky Sports La Liga table. Atletico moved second on Saturday with a game more played. A Real Madrid win would cut the gap to three points; a Barcelona win would put them nine clear of Madrid.

Jose Mourinho returns to the fixture as Real Madrid coach with a record of 5 wins, 6 draws and 6 defeats in 17 Clasicos (25 goals for, 31 against), Sports Illustrated counted. His first, in 2010, ended in a 5-0 defeat; before that he worked at Barcelona as Bobby Robson's assistant in 1996-97.

Spain's clocks go back an hour early on Sunday morning, which is why the 9pm kick-off lands at 1am PKT and not midnight.

Barcelona go in top of La Liga and unbeaten in the league, six points clear of third-placed Real Madrid, ARY News reported. A home win would stretch the gap to nine points before the end of October.

What the coaches said

Barcelona coach Hansi Flick admitted his side made "too many mistakes, especially in ball possession" in midweek and said tiredness played a part. Real Madrid's Jose Mourinho played down form going into the game: "It's not a game like the others," he said, adding that confidence "doesn't exist" for a Clasico. He also complained that Madrid had 24 hours less rest than Barcelona after Europe.

Why it matters

With Barcelona already unbeaten and Madrid six points back, this is the first real chance of the season for Madrid to stop a runaway leader, and the first big test of Mourinho's second spell at the Bernabeu against Flick. A Madrid win cuts the gap to three; a draw keeps it at six.
