Hong Kong Sixes 2026: Pakistan squad, Abbas Afridi captain, India and UAE in Pakistan's group
The defending champions name a seven-man squad for 30 October to 1 November at Tin Kwong Road. Here is the group, the format and how the times convert to Pakistan time.
Hong Kong Sixes 2026 runs from Thursday 30 October to Saturday 1 November at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground in Hong Kong, and Pakistan go in as defending champions. The Pakistan Cricket Board named a seven-man squad on Friday 9 October, with fast bowler Mohammad Abbas Afridi as captain, Business Recorder reported. The team leaves for Hong Kong on 28 October.

Pakistan squad for Hong Kong Sixes 2026:

Abbas also led the side last year, when Pakistan beat Kuwait in the final on 9 November 2025 for their sixth Hong Kong Sixes title.
Groups and Pakistan's first matches
Pakistan are in Group C with India and the UAE, ProPakistani reported. Both Pakistan matches in the group fall on the opening day, 30 October: Pakistan vs UAE first, then Pakistan vs India.
The other groups, as reported:
- Group A: Australia, Hong Kong China, England
- Group B: Bangladesh, Scotland, Sri Lanka
- Group D: South Africa, Oman, Afghanistan
Format: three days, three trophies
- 30 October: opening day, nine group matches.
- 31 October: the remaining group matches, starting with Oman vs Afghanistan, then the knockouts begin. Group winners go to the Cup semi-finals, runners-up to the Plate semi-finals and third-placed sides to the Bowl semi-finals.
- 1 November: Cup, Plate and Bowl finals and the placement matches.
Hong Kong Sixes time in Pakistan
Hong Kong is three hours ahead of Pakistan (HKT is UTC+8, PKT is UTC+5), so a match at 12pm in Hong Kong starts at 9am in Pakistan, and a 6pm evening match starts at 3pm PKT. Match times have not been published yet; we will add every Pakistan fixture in PKT here as soon as the organisers release the schedule.
