PAK vs ENG: Arafat Minhas's 59 and 6 for 40 give Pakistan an 87-run win over England
England were 91 without loss chasing 303, then lost all ten wickets for 124 as the left-arm spinner ripped through them in Rawalpindi.
Pakistan beat England by 87 runs in Rawalpindi on Tuesday night (PAK vs ENG, 20 October 2026), and the match belonged to Arafat Minhas. The left-arm spinner made his maiden ODI half-century, 59 off 58 balls, then took 6 for 40 in 8.4 overs and ran out the last man as England, 91 without loss at one stage, were bowled out for 215 in 38.4 overs chasing 303.
It is Pakistan's second win in two matches of the home ODI tri-series, which puts them on the edge of the final at Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday 31 October. Every fixture, result and start time in PKT is on our Pakistan tri-series schedule and results page.

Figures from the BBC's match report and Sky Sports.
From 81 for 4 to 302
England chose to field and Pakistan were in trouble early: Fakhar Zaman went first ball, and at 81 for 4 in the 19th over Babar Azam (34) and Salman Ali Agha (16) were both out. Hasan Nawaz changed the mood by slog-sweeping his first ball from Adil Rashid for six. He and Arafat added 78 for the sixth wicket, and after Jamie Overton yorked Hasan for 79, Arafat and Faheem Ashraf put on 72 off 49 balls for the seventh, ARY News reported. Arafat was dropped on 12 by wicketkeeper Jordan Cox, one of three catches England put down, the BBC noted.
How Arafat broke England
England's openers made the target look small. Ben Duckett and Tom Banton raced to 91 in under 15 overs before Duckett top-edged a pull off Haris Rauf. Then Arafat took over:
- Tom Banton, 57: pulled a short ball straight to Shaheen Shah Afridi at midwicket.
- Harry Brook, 5: the England captain was bowled by a ball that turned past the bat.
- Jordan Cox, 18: lbw, beaten in the flight.
- Jamie Overton, 1: caught at long-on.
- Will Jacks, 19 and Adil Rashid, 1: off successive balls in the 39th over, which left Arafat on a hat-trick.
Two balls later he ran out Gus Atkinson to finish the match. He was involved in each of England's last five wickets, Sky Sports noted, and England lost their last seven wickets for 50 runs. Naseem Shah bowled Joe Root for 33 with one that kept low.
According to the BBC, these are the best figures by a Pakistan spinner in an ODI against England.
What it means
Pakistan have 2 wins from 2 after beating Sri Lanka by 37 runs on Sunday. The top two of the three teams reach the final, so one more win would all but settle Pakistan's place. England, without Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer and Jacob Bethell, have lost their first ODI in Pakistan since 2005.
