Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 82 runs in the 2nd T20I at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday 11 October 2026, piling up 215 for 3 and restricting Sri Lanka to 133 for 7. The win gives Pakistan the three-match series 2-0 with a game to spare, Dawn reported, and it was Sri Lanka's heaviest defeat of the tour so far.

Maaz Sadaqat four short of a hundred

Pakistan were a modest 46 after the powerplay, then took the game away. Maaz Sadaqat hit 96 off 51 balls with seven sixes and six fours before he was caught by Dasun Shanaka off Eshan Malinga, four runs short of a first T20I century. He was named player of the match.

Captain Sahibzada Farhan made 73 off 44 with five sixes, his second big score in two matches after 89 in the opener. Fakhar Zaman made 22 off 17 and Hasan Nawaz finished with 19 not out off 9 balls.

Randhawa 3 for 11 on a tight chase

Needing 216, Sri Lanka never got close. Debut-series fast bowler Imran Randhawa took 3 for 11 in his four overs, Salman Mirza, back in place of Razaullah, took two wickets, and Shadab Khan and Saim Ayub took one each. Kamindu Mendis made 23 and Sineth Jayawardena 22, and the best score came from number nine Maheesh Theekshana, 32 not out off 26, once the game was gone. Captain Kusal Mendis fell for 9.

• Series: Pakistan 2-0 up, sealed in Farhan's first series as T20I captain, with Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Salman Ali Agha left out.
• Next: the 3rd T20I is on Tuesday 13 October at 6pm PKT in Rawalpindi, on PTV Sports and streaming on Tapmad, Tamasha and PCB Live. A win would be a 3-0 sweep.
