SPSC CCE 2026 screening test on 24 October: centres, pass mark and written exam date

The Sindh Public Service Commission will hold the screening test for the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE-2026) on Saturday 24 October 2026. SPSC announced the date in a press release dated 29 September, signed by its Controller of Examinations.

The date sits inside the plan SPSC set out in its advance public notice of 6 August, which put the screening test in the second half of October and the written part of CCE-2026 in December 2026.

Applications closed on 23 September 2026, so the test is for candidates who applied under Advertisement No. 04/2026.

Key dates

Centres and pass mark

• Test centres: Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Larkana. SPSC can change the list depending on the number of candidates.
• Pass mark: 40 percent (80 marks), up from 33 percent (66 marks), after an amendment to Regulation 74 of SPSC's Recruitment Management Regulations 2023.
• A candidate who misses any one paper is not allowed to sit the later papers.

Before the test

• Foreign degrees: the advertisement asks candidates with a foreign degree to upload their HEC equivalence certificate in the qualification section of the online portal at least 10 days before the screening test.
• Disability assistance: a candidate with a permanent disability who needs help during the test must write to the Controller of Examinations at least seven days before it, with a copy to the PS to the Chairperson, an attested disability certificate from the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and NADRA's special CNIC. The original certificate and CNIC must be shown at the centre on the day, or no assistance is given.
• Admission slips: SPSC has not yet said when CCE-2026 slips will be issued. For its departmental examinations starting 5 October, it put slips on its website on 3 October, two days before. Check spsc.gov.pk in the week before the test.

Dates have moved before

The CCE-2024 screening test was postponed three times in August and September 2025, for rain forecasts, a public holiday and floods, before it was held on 11 October 2025. SPSC announces any change on its announcements page first.
