Latest: Annual-II papers postponed until further notice (11 October 2026)

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Swat has postponed all of its matric (SSC) Annual-II 2026 papers until further notice, 24 News reported on Sunday, 11 October, citing the board's announcement. The papers were due to resume on Monday, 12 October in the districts the board covers, including Swat and Shangla. No new dates have been given: the board says a revised date sheet will be announced later, and students should wait for it.

The postponement comes as boards across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have suspended their Annual-II papers amid the unrest in the province.

What has changed so far

On 6 October, six KP boards (Kohat, Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Malakand and Abbottabad) postponed the first four SSC Annual-II papers, Pakistan Observer reported; Swat, Peshawar, Mardan, Malakand and Abbottabad also postponed their Oriental Languages papers on those dates.

What students should do now
