MDCAT 2026 held today: 138,160 candidates, 34 cities, where the result appears

Updated Sunday 20 September, morning. MDCAT 2026 is being held today. Gates at every centre were sealed at 9:00am and candidates were admitted from 7:30am. PMDC registered 138,160 candidates across 34 cities in Pakistan and one centre abroad, in Riyadh.

If you are reading this after 9:00am and you are not inside a centre, you have missed this sitting. There is no late entry.

Where the 138,160 candidates are

Each paper carries 180 questions, and PMDC says at least two different papers were prepared for every province.

MDCAT result 2026: where it appears

The result is published on the PMDC result portal at pmdc.pk/result/MDCATResult. Check there with your roll number rather than through third-party sites that republish it late or wrong.

PMDC has not published a result date. Conducting the test now sits with provincial governments and medical universities, so the admitting body and the result timeline are provincial, not federal. Keep your roll number slip. You will need it for the result and again for admission forms.

Sindh: the juvenile card was not compulsory

The MDCAT Committee, acting on Sindh Health Department directions, waived the mandatory juvenile card (the NADRA smart card or B-Form) at the gate before the test.

A candidate without a juvenile card was allowed to sit on production of an original matric (SSC) or intermediate (HSC) mark sheet carrying a verifiable photograph. Geo reported the same relaxation nationally.

Sindh had nine centres, two of them in Karachi, under Sukkur IBA Testing Services.

The Punjab and Lahore breakdown

Punjab's 49,199 candidates sat across 31 centres in 15 cities. Lahore alone accounted for 12,030, split 9,150 female and 2,880 male.

The University of Health Sciences oversaw Punjab's preparations.
