OnePlus 16 launched: 9,000mAh battery, 185Hz screen and 200MP camera from about Rs 235,000

OnePlus 16 price and launch

The OnePlus 16 launched in China on Monday 12 October 2026, starting at 5,699 yuan (about $850), The Verge reported. That is roughly Rs 235,000 at today's interbank dollar rate of about Rs 277 (see our dollar rate page), before any import duty or PTA tax. It is the company's first flagship since it pulled out of the US and European markets this summer, and it is not launching there.

OnePlus 16 specs

What stands out

• The battery. At 9,000mAh it is one of the largest in any Android flagship so far.
• The screen. OnePlus says the panel can run games at 185 frames a second in supported titles and hold 165Hz across the whole interface, which it calls a first for a panel of this kind.
• The camera. OnePlus cameras have trailed the best, and The Verge found the OnePlus 15 weak in low light. The 16 gets a higher-resolution main sensor that is also larger, with a brighter f/1.4 lens, plus a bigger telephoto sensor.
• The lights. The silver model has LED lighting on the back, showing a large "16", which flashes in different rhythms for calls, messages and battery level.

Buying one in Pakistan

OnePlus has not given a Pakistan price. A phone brought in from China or the Gulf must be registered with PTA, and the tax depends on the phone's value and whether you register on a passport or a CNIC. Our PTA mobile tax calculator works out the amount before you buy, so you can compare the landed cost with phones sold officially here.
