Tamasha live: how to watch Asian Games, cricket and TV on the Tamasha app

Tamasha live is how most Pakistanis are following the Asian Games 2026 on their phones. Tamasha is Jazz's streaming app for live TV, live cricket and sports, films and dramas, and it has secured the digital streaming rights for the Asian Games in Pakistan (Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, 19 September to 4 October 2026).

This guide covers how to install and sign in, what you get free, the Jazz packages and their prices, how to watch on a phone, a browser and a TV, and what to do when the stream fails. Figures are from Jazz's own Tamasha page, checked on 28 September 2026; the Asian Games schedule was updated on 29 September.

What Tamasha carries

• Live TV channels: news, entertainment, regional and kids' channels. Jazz says the premium tier, Tamasha Pro, carries 90+ live channels.
• Live sport: cricket and football, and in 2026 the Asian Games, where Pakistan is competing in hockey, boxing, wrestling, kabaddi, athletics and cricket. The biggest day left is Thursday 1 October: the men's cricket semi-final, Pakistan vs Bangladesh at 5am PKT, and the hockey semi-final, Pakistan vs India at 12:30pm PKT; the medal matches in both are on Saturday 3 October. • Films and dramas: Pakistani and Hollywood films, regional dramas and web series.

How to install and sign in

1. Install Tamasha from Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iPhone). Only use the official stores; APK copies from other websites are not from Jazz.
2. Open the app and sign in with your mobile number. You receive a one-time code by SMS.
3. Enter the code. If you have a Jazz number, the app links your Tamasha packages and free allowance to it.
4. Go to Live TV for channels or the sports section for events such as the Asian Games.

Is Tamasha free?

Partly. According to Jazz:

• A Jazz prepaid user without a package gets a free daily allowance of 1GB of streaming data, except between 8pm and 9pm.
• A Jazz postpaid user without a package gets 3 hours of streaming a day.
• Paid packages unlock both the free and the exclusive paid content, and come with their own streaming data.

On other networks (Zong, Telenor, Ufone) the app streams on your normal mobile data or Wi-Fi, so the video uses your own internet bundle.

Tamasha packages and prices (Jazz)

All packages renew automatically, so unsubscribe in the app if you only want one match. After the allowance runs out, your normal bundle or standard data rates apply.

Which to choose: for Thursday's two semi-finals alone, the Rs 12 daily package (2GB) is the cheapest route. If you will follow Saturday's medal matches as well, the Rs 25 three-day package (5GB) covers Thursday to Saturday, and the Rs 50 weekly package covers the rest of the Games, which end on 4 October. The cricket semi-final starts at 5am and the hockey at 12:30pm, so neither falls in the 8pm to 9pm window when the free prepaid allowance does not apply.

How much data does live streaming use?

Video quality decides the data use. A match or final of two to three hours at high quality can easily go past 1GB, which is why the free allowance runs out quickly. To stretch it:

1. Lower the video quality in the player settings.
2. Use Wi-Fi at home.
3. Take a package before a long event rather than paying normal data rates.

Watching on a browser or TV

• Browser: Tamasha also runs at tamashaweb.com, where you can sign in with the same number. The site needs JavaScript enabled.
• TV: Jazz says Tamasha Pro is available on Android TV. On other smart TVs, cast from your phone or plug in a laptop with the browser version.

Tamasha Pro

Jazz launched Tamasha Pro in August 2025 with Ultra-HD streaming, no ads, 90+ live channels, films, web series and exclusive English Premier League 2025-26 matches. Jazz's announcement did not list a price; check the current price in the app before you subscribe.

When the Tamasha live stream will not load

1. Update the app from Play Store or App Store; old versions often fail on big live events.
2. Check your allowance: on Jazz prepaid, the free 1GB may be used up, or you are in the 8pm to 9pm window when the free allowance does not apply.
3. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, then restart the app.
4. Lower the quality if the video buffers.
5. Sign out and sign in again with your number to refresh your package.
6. Clear the app cache (Android: Settings, Apps, Tamasha, Storage, Clear cache).
7. If a paid package is not showing, contact Jazz on 111 from your Jazz number.

Common mistakes

• Downloading an APK from a random site instead of the official store.
• Forgetting that packages auto-renew.
• Starting a final at 8pm on the free allowance, which does not apply between 8pm and 9pm on prepaid.
